Julie Horton - Jazz Vocalist
Jazz Talks

I recently past an audition to be able to host talks on Jazz.  I can talk for up to an hour on the history of Jazz. My talk consists of the origins of Jazz, a biography section on the Jazz hero's who influenced me and also a section on where Jazz has taken me hi-lighting amusing stories at events in which I've sang around the UK.

It's been nearly 20 years since I first started singing jazz and some of my gigs have been weired, hilarious or exhausting. Usually I present my talks to community groups like the Women's Institute where they have an annual speaker selection programme.

If you are interested in discussing options for Jazz Talks, feel free to contact me for rates. Phone 07966 459188 or email me at juliejazzyj@aol.com for further details.

Here are a couple of testimonials from local Women's Institutes

" We had no doubt that you would be an ideal speaker
to liven up our special meeting, and from the feedback
that I alone received, that was definitely the case.
Everyone enjoyed your enthusiasm, and several people
wanted to know where we’d found you.
The new County Chairman and W.I. Advisers were
particularly impressed, and I got the distinct impression
that more bookings could be coming your way soon. "

I’ve just listened to you on line and you made my cry!  Just had to email you and say how fabulous you sound – and how interesting.
(We spoke the other day – WI committee meeting  I’ll be in touch)

"It was a delight to meet you last night and I know you realised what a       hit you were!  We all learnt so much about the history of jazz, your icons      and how you got involved.  All absolutely fascinating. I have just                  returned from our WI Tennis group this morning and everyone was raving about you and thanking me for inviting you - so well done and thanks again.

I hope our paths may cross again.  Have a wonderful weekend at the Goodwood Revival.

Regards
